Phonebloks is a concept created by dutch designer Dave Hakkens.
His idea is to create a longer-lasting smartphone (let me say, a real ‘smart’phone).
He found a problem and with this project he tries to solve it: a phone only lasts a couple of years before it breaks or becomes obsolete. Although it’s often just one part broken, but we throw everything away. So here the solution! Phonebloks is made of detachable bloks, which are connected to the base which locks everything together: if a blok breaks you can easily replace it.

You can also customize your phone with the blok, that became accessory, you prefer!

Dave Hakkens made everything himself: from idea, prototype, website, logo to video:

You can support the project, joining the thunderclap, a crowd-speaking platform where people can join together and let their voices be heard.
