Keep your eyes on the road – The Lone Wolf single
“The Devil and I” will be the name of the album by Paul Marshall under the new name of Lone Wolf, a debut powered by Bella Union. This is the video realised for the launch of the first single “Keep your eyes on the road” thanks to the collaboration of Ashely Dean, the popular animator of the Broken Pixel methods. It wants to be an homage to Peter Gabriel’s video “Sledgehammer” (1986) that has been considered the best animated video into music history until now. Good sounds, great video! We are waiting for the complete L0ne Wolf’s album!

Politica & design?

Get 5 minutes of freedom: Flash Mob Dance in Milan
Flash mob is an unexpected fast and totally free event where a lot of people gather in a predetermined place and do something. Usually the mobbers (people that coming there) dance freely following music into their ipod, like a silent disco. No political or religious ideas match togheter the mobbers, the flash mob is just a break into ordinary life: a little time of free personal expression. The biggest Flash mob realised was in London on the 4 April 2007 (4000 of people came in Victoria station, look at the picture above). A new one is coming in Milan on the next 2th of May 2010, and the objective is collecting more people than the flash mob in London! People are invited to come into Piazza Cordusio with their ipod (this is the track suggested LINK). At 4 pm in the afternoon everyone could start to dance freely, then following the organizers they will move to Piazza San Babila dancing of course, at 5 pm the music will stop and it will be as nothing was happened. More information are available on Facebook searching “Flash Mob Dance Milano – Silent Rave“. Spread the event!

Music jewel: Midlake – The Courage of Others

Available now in Italy the new album of the american band Midlake “The Courage of Others“. We have titled the article a “music jewel”, and it is true because a jewel is an album that put itself out of the conventional, a rare example of something new, a hope to hear something better in the future. What is the meaning of new? The project, the great mix of the influences in the album, the beautiful sound of the songs, the excellent performance of musicians. Melancholy and darkness into honey and warm ballads, between Radiohead and seventies’ atmospheres from Neil Young to Fleetwood Mac. Probably the best album of the year.. at the moment of course. Midlake became really popular in 2006 with the album “The trials of Van Occupanther“, their first album close to folk rock and it contains the beautiful piece Roscoe. We hope Midlake will play in Italy soon. Here a very nice song “Winter dies” from the last album on free streaming for you by Polkadot.
Roller Sunglasses by 11Null

This is an idea coming from Berlin, from the brand 11Null and the project is named “The future is bright“. We are talking about a new eyewear model: just sunglasses and nothing else. Is functionality the password for a bright future? The brand agree with this philosophy. Glasses as film, completely roller blind into a little tube as a roll of film. You could also use the glasses as a bracelet. Probably really comfortable into some situation, on the beach or during sport activities or just new cool accessory. What do you thing about? Have a look at Wok store in Milan or on the brand web site here.

Polkadot reminds you: AIR in Italy

Amour, Imagination, Rève. This is the explanation of the name AIR. And effectively the french band plays a dreaming music mixing electronic and pop sounds. AIR is a duo of Nicolas Godin and Jean Benoit Dunckel. They became very popular during the nineties, following the trend of trip hop and electronic music, with their first beautiful album “Moon Safari” (1998). And this was the starting point. In 2001 “1000 Hz Legend” was published and the great “Talkie Walkie” in 2004 with the popular single “Cherry blossom gilr” and then “Pocket Symphony” in 2007. The last project is “Love2” (2009) and in order to promote the new album the band have been planned a tour with 3 dates in Italy:
- Tonight they will play in Milano @ Magazzini Generali
- Tomorrow Air gig will take place in Bologna @ Estragon
- Saturday 23 th the band will be in Rome @ Auditorium Parco della Musica
Tickets on sale at ticketone and here.
What is time for you?

“Time is never time at all…” Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins leader) sing in Tonight Tonight. He is right, time is not just a count, time is a philosophical concept in everyone’s life and also an aesthetic concept. Diamantini&Domeniconi agree with this and the factory has created a series of clocks inspired by different ideas: time is running out as men or butterflies, time as a perfect circle, time as coloured design or time as nature element. A lot of models are available on the web site, find your personal way to express your time.
