Fred Perry for Liberty
Ok, springtime is coming. And even if we are still wearing our sweaters, and it seems like this winter is endless, spring is 3 days from here. Flowers will be in bloom sooner or later, and from April, you can also wear ‘em. Liberty & Fred Perry will transform your wardrobe into a bunch of flowers. The classic M12 Polo, the Harrington jacket, and the short-sleeved slim fit shirts, will flourish for you. “Blank Canvas” is the name of this capsule collection, avaiable in stores from next April. Liberty’s signature paisley and floral prints, will be printed all over, or will be hide in little details as linings and under the buttons. This spring will be romantic and a little bit folk, if you want.

They also ran a super nice competition on their website asking the readers to create and build a ready-made-light that works with a bulb and was under 40 euro.
Keep your eyes on the road – The Lone Wolf single
“The Devil and I” will be the name of the album by Paul Marshall under the new name of Lone Wolf, a debut powered by Bella Union. This is the video realised for the launch of the first single “Keep your eyes on the road” thanks to the collaboration of Ashely Dean, the popular animator of the Broken Pixel methods. It wants to be an homage to Peter Gabriel’s video “Sledgehammer” (1986) that has been considered the best animated video into music history until now. Good sounds, great video! We are waiting for the complete L0ne Wolf’s album!
Sorapot
Sorapot is an another piece of design from an idea by Joey Roth, who Polkadot already featured with his Ceramic speakers. Sorapot is a simple, modern teapot. Its architectural shape and simple functionality bring tea’s quiet beauty into sharp focus. Made from 304 stainless steel, borosilicate glass (Pyrex), and food-grade silicone, it articulates the ritual of tea making in a thoroughly modern way.
Sorapot’s vaulting arch and curved geometry belie its industrial toughness. Made from investment-cast stainless steel, borosilicate glass (Pyrex), and food-grade silicone, your Sorapot will only look better as you use it. My dream is to find a well-loved, well-used Sorapot in an antique shop fifty years from now, and I designed with this image constantly on my mind.

AIAIAI Pipe earphone in two new colors
The guys @ Aiaiai introduce a new approach to the upcoming releases of their Pipe earphones. They are gonna create 2-3 new colours of pipes every third month. The colours are inspired by things/objects or the like that have had some kind of inpact on AIAIAI crew throughout the years. The first one is inspired by the legendary Nike Air Trainer 1 tennis shoe that we’ve all – including John McEnroe – played in back in the days. It came out in 1987 as a cross trainer shoe project, but soon became a hit as a tennis shoe and it was even used in the NBA at one point. The idea and colourway has been re-launched several times, but nothing really matches the good old original one.
The second vesion of the new pipes is inspired by the one an only beer – Gold Tuborg! Also known as “the golden lady” the beer hit the danish market in 1895 and was actually meant for export markets. Instead it quickly became only a national product for the Danes – and they/we loved it.
At the old A-house, where we/AIAIAI used to have our club, we served the gold beer instead of regular pilsner and we even served it in a can (as the one you see on the picture). People loved it and soon Tuborg realized that this beer had been down-prioritized way too much through out the years. The second year of our clubs existence, we had Tuborg convinced to make us customized Gold Tuborg vending machines, which became a great success. Today these vending machines are spread all over town as an alternative to line up in the bar.
Magis Voido
Il nome di Ron Arad è sinonimo di costante sperimentazione con i materiali e radicale rielaborazione concettuale di forme e strutture per arredamento che lo hanno reso protagonista del design contemporaneo. Oltre all’attività di studio, concentrata essenzialmente su pezzi in edizione limitata, Ron Arad firma il design per molte società di livello internazionale. La collaborazione per Magis ha dato vita nel 2006 a Voido, una poltrona a dondolo in polietilene in rotational moulding, anche verniciato. RMK Desk Blocks
Rona Meyuchas K is an Israeli British designer with an MA in industrial design from the Scoula Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy. In 2007 she founded RMK Design Office, a design firm based in East London focusing on products for small-scale production. “We create products for daily use, combining function with aesthetics; in our design process, we try to minimize the use of unnecessary material and components.” RMK Blocks, her recently released line of desk accessories, can be used individually or grouped for a multifuntional desktop. Crafted from unfinished beech wood, the pieces will naturally darken with age.
