Our pieces are simple, distinct, plain and charming. That is how we would describe ourselves as well. Nice people, interested in design, who rejoice in great materials and shapes.
They also ran a super nice competition on their website asking the readers to create and build a ready-made-light that works with a bulb and was under 40 euro.
Gessato
When Cristina Lanza, a cosmetics executive, and Davide Carbone, a graphics designer, met in their native Italy, their mutual love for their country’s style and culture as well as for their soon-to-be-adopted city of New York led to a collaboration of mind, spirit and talent that is now known as Gessato. Gessato’s men’s skin care products are manufactured and marketed in the United States with an Italian sensibility for time-hewn craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail.
Gessato was created to find solutions to the skin treatment needs and problems that concern all men and it takes this responsibility seriously. It is totally committed to producing the most effective and luxurious skin care treatments prepared with a combination of scientific knowledge and the utmost care for its customers. But Gessato is not only skin care products. We have had a talk with Davide, to discover the ideas and project behind the name. Retail Facility makes available the designs of Industrial Facility, some for the first time, and many of which were previously only sold in certain countries. Industrial Facility has become well known for its design of relevant and progressive projects. Its founders, Kim Colin and Sam Hecht are dedicated to the principal that things we use on a daily basis should last a lot longer than a day. The care and attention to detail in each product confirms that design is much more than image. It is about making things simpler and more enjoyable to use so we’re happy for them to stick around.
Puma McQueen giveaway
111VOX was one of the first stores in Scandinavia to sell Puma McQueen online, and they have carried a wide range of shoes and clothing from Alexander McQueen ever since. The tragic news of his unfortunante death saddens us deeply, and it is with grief in our hearts that we say farewell to this amazingly talented designer.

Some nice products from Solo Alto Design: from Kartell a 4-pocket magazine rack with a central handle for ease of lifting. Beautiful and practical, this piece is a true classic of Italian design. 2 nice products from Rotaliana: Diva is a LED light and music system specifically designed for your iPod or iPhone. It combines multiple functions in one light, compact object, eliminating clutter and stealing the scene no matter where you place it. Eolo brings together chromatic light with a room spray. In this small lamp, perfect for both the home and more public spaces, olfactory and visual senses are combined: aromatherapy now comes with chromotherapy. Lastly, Kartell’s Dune, a semi-transparent batch-dyed technopolymer thermoplastic serving tray by Mario Bellini, in a rainbow of colors, is the company’s first foray into modern tableware. Colored plastics used for these molded trays are heated and cooled at different rates so that their molten dunelike waves are fixed permanently beneath the tray’s clear, flat, glasslike surface.
