Camo FW10 – Circus Collection
After the Horses Collection, with the Fall Winter 2010, Camo want to enchant people again by something spectacular and surprising. Once upon a time the circus world was an amusement for everyone, especially for those who couldn’t travel or see an yother ethnic groups or strangeness.The circus was also a smash athletic and entertainment exhibition as a variety show of yore. Everyone has a piece of circus within himself ’cause we are all a bitty clowns or aerialists or tightrope walkers or comedians.Traditional menswear fabrics and tailoring, nice details and stylish outfits. Camo S/S 2010
The name of the new camo s/s 2010 collection is “horses collection”. but…pay attention not to get confused: the world of horses is just the background while the main subject is the hurdle we have to jump over… the new collection does not show clothes for horse-racing. it modifies, camouflages the clothes to go horseback riding and feel at ease.
such collection, elegant and easy to wear, reminds us the style of north-african colonies. the trousers/pants and the shorts, double buttoned in the middle, are large and short so that you can see the boots and the socks (up to the knee). the spiral pattern of the socks is the same pattern of the lining of the pockets and of the collars: white and red, like that one of the hurdles.

The last Camo collection got the idea from waves ! The waves represent people’s moments of Life: up and down. The waves represent also water and this means that we are on a boat and our world is the sea and our ironic individuals sailors. The buttons are made of wood because wood is the material of boats and it floats, the sweaters are made of Shetland wool, the socks are soft and the T-shirts have an anchor on them. The anchor stands for a choice, the rudder means direction and balance while the lifebelt means friends and friendship. The trousers are turned up, otherwise you get wet! With braces of course! The stripe shirts remind us the sail and the jackets made of corduroy. The coat is made of wool cashmere and the beanies remind us of those used in the harbour. Scarves need hoodies because of the wind, while the sight is towards the horizon. Sometimes you can feel like being shipwrecked during a storm, sometimes you can feel like a conqueror going through the sea and the oceans.
Other times you can feel like floating, in this case: don’t stop swimming !
Camo S/S 09
We discovered this italian brand, Camo, some months ago. They have just presented their S/S collection at B&B Barcelona, and it’s bright and funny. The Spring Summer 09 “true collection” is inspired by the superheroes, by the TV space series, by the 80’s films, by the corps. CAMO is made for those who want to make fun of themselves, for those who still dream and who always believe in fairytales. Is named “true collection”: because we are so. It pays homage to the TV heroes we have loved when we were young: William Shatner as Captain James T. Kirk in 2264, Dirk Benedict as Templeton Peck, William Katt as “the Greatest American Hero”, John Patrick McEnroe Jr., Sergent Hartman in “FULL METAL JACKET”, Barry Levinson for “GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM”, Paul Brickman for “RISKY BUSINESS”, Ken Kutaragi (“The playstation’s father”).
