AGIDEAS Festival finished yesterday in Melbourne and also the local International Design week.
Each year agIdeas brings 40 internationally acclaimed creative people to Melbourne, those who have pushed the boundaries and excelled in their area of creativity. It was established in 1991 by Ken Cato and developed and presented by the Design Foundation in Melbourne.
Important talks by Madethought Studio from UK, about creativity and simplicity in brand design, big speech by German designer Mr. Sauter on installation design.
This make consider that also here “down under” the spread if ideas and culture is a big growing phenomenon. Mostly concentrated on graphic and media fields, design has risen his importance, maybe due to Tasmania craftsmen and local production and development.
I really hope design will become a new trend in this place far away from all others.
