If you are in Milan on this week end, you cannot miss it. Milano Film Festival presents an unmissable retrospective on Gilliam’s genius. Not only his complete filmography, including films never distributed in Italy, like . An exhibition featuring his drawings, from the very beginning to the animations for his latest films, and a focus on the Monty Python’s TV productions and the “picked-by-me films” – the films that have influenced him in filmmaking. Terry Gilliam will be invited to introduce his films personally and he will be totally free to arrange them in the order that best suits him, creating his own ad-hoc programme. To overcome the idea of a “ready-made filmography” and present a portrait as true as possible to the twisted genius of the author.
