Electrik Sheep, an independent store and gallery on Pink Lane, is one of Newcastle’s best-kept secrets. It opened a little over 3 years ago and sells a range of products including clothing, books, magazines, artwork and toys by some of the best graphic designers, artists and brands in the world. The shop is the brainchild of Graphic Design Company Reluctant Hero. For years Reluctant Hero have been creating graphics, marketing campaigns and branding for companies such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John, Dazed and Confused, and the list goes on. The time came when they decided the North East needed somewhere to find the clothing, books and artwork that you previously only found in New York or London.
