This year Maicco plays with a dialectic between plasticity and fabric fluidity. The use of the ornament is predominant in the abstracted derivative of “l’accessoire.” Maicco employs Oriental-influenced large scale drapes and color matched stiff boots, so as to create an even playground for the accessory. The objects, despite their individual banality, are now complimenting haute-couture in Maicco’s FW 2011.
