If you're a designer, you've got a grasp on all that is Berlin's design frenzy. Good part is it never gets old so you throw in for a visit now and then. But let's dig under the skin and spit out the seeds within the confines of a penthouse - or attik - flat of a Neukölln AltBau. The walls are whitewashed, the floors of hardwood. Structure violates space but, they rise through and coalesce into pitched ceilings. Wine is poured into ornate crystal goblets, rescued from a forgotten storefront or another, and sparkles in the light. But don't get too comfortable yet.
Williamsburg grunge oozing Berlin attitude + a hint of French flair = Mein Haus am See in trendy Mitte, just off Rosenthaler Platz. It's framed between two concrete walls, exposed and raw. Paint is peeling off the walls but the 1950s furniture only helps in creating a timeless, elegant character. The cafe/bar is a contrast of vibe between structure and spatial quality. But it works!

La forma di Tree è semplice e slanciata, come un piccolo albero che si protende verso il cielo. La versione Tree Light, che mantiene le stesse linee naturali, oggi affianca alla funzione di appendiabiti quella di oggetto illuminante, disponibile solo nella versione bianca. Anche se non sei un designer, non sai cosa vuol dire CYMK e non mastichi di DPI, apprezzerai il Pantone Hotel a Bruxelles. 59 stanze in 7 toni di colori diversi, "white minimal" all'apparenza, concepite dal designer Michel Penneman e l'architetto Olivier Hannaert. Se dico Big Fish probabilmente pensi al film di Tim Burton. Per me, da alcuni giorni, Big Fish è anche quacos'altro. Da quando ho scoperto questo ristorante di Barcellona, il "pesce grande" è sinonimo di buona cucina, ottimi piatti e bel design, un posto dove passare un’ottima serata.
Il locale si trova di fronte al Mercato del Borne, il quartiere radical chic di Barcellona, in un edificio del XIX secolo. L'interno è stato progettato dall'interior designer spagnolo Lazaro Rosa-Violan: accogliente, a tratti moderno e a tratti vintage, evoca alcune caratteristiche di un salone dell'Ottocento con divani in pelle, sedie e tavoli di diverse dimensioni e materiali.
Modà già il nome evoca ambiente fashion, è un marchio che esprime un concetto ben preciso di lifestyle. La chiave di lettura della collezione Modà è quella di un lusso che è in realtà più astratto che materiale, è cultura dell'oggetto è ricerca di personalità.

If you're in any way involved with architecture or product design, then you know this place Weil am Rhein; more of less the chillout spot of the modern Holy Grail. The names attached to the complex are all revered - Eames, Jacobsen, Castiglioni, SANAA, Ando, Hadid, etc. The latest addition is the VitraHaus by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. It houses the Vitra Home Collection as well as the Vitra Design Museum Shop (online).
